A second-generation Real Estate Agent, Dan Metcalf studied under his top-producing mother, Meg Finn, for years, learning the ins and outs of the business. Today, he works tirelessly to honor her legacy of excellence through his leadership of Finn Family Group with Perennial Real Estate — a name that acknowledges both their home-grown roots in the “Azalea City” of Takoma Park and his family’s longstanding commitment to clients and craft. Dan is an eight-year Five Star Service award winner who is consistently named one of D.C.’s Best Agents by Washingtonian magazine, and he was among his prior brokerage’s Top 100 agents for five years. Now entering his 18th year in the business, and having helped over 500 client-families to achieve their goals to date, Dan is thankful for this respected reputation in the industry as a skilled steward of his beloved community.
Dan and Finn Family Group of Perennial Real Estate bring over 30 years of proven expertise to the table. This experience, paired with deep local market knowledge, ensures a smooth process and excellent outcomes for their clients. Dan provides each client with an enjoyable process and extraordinary customer service — with not a little bit of humor — all with the aim of attaining the optimal outcome for them. From day one until closing and beyond, Dan and Finn Family Group are there for their buyers and sellers.
Before his real estate career, Dan served in the Peace Corps in Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana, West Africa, from 2002 to 2005. This background, bolstered by his bachelor’s degree in international affairs, allowed Dan to develop his negotiation skills, master meeting people where they are, and strategize how best to help them achieve their objectives.
To Dan, real estate is about satisfying his clients’ needs by advocating for their best interests. That’s why he’s built his approach on honesty, integrity, and hard work. Dedicated to serving the region he loves, Dan is a longtime supporter of numerous local schools and organizations, including Shepherd’s Table, the Takoma Park Safe Routes to School 5K, and the Crossroads Community farmers market.
